The first half of 2026 has been filled with meaningful activities that reflect UNA for Women’s commitment to supporting women and girls through empowerment, inclusion, and practical action.
One of the most touching moments this year was our visit to post-surgical patients and women at the Home for the Disabled. Their strength, dignity, and resilience were truly inspiring. Spending time together reminded us that small acts of kindness and solidarity can make a real difference.
We have also continued to offer self-defence courses for women and girls. These sessions provide practical skills while building confidence, awareness, and a greater sense of personal safety. Empowerment begins with knowing your own strength.
Supporting vulnerable communities remains a key part of our work. This year, we distributed relief packages to women and girls in need, helping families facing difficult circumstances with essential items and showing that they are not alone.
Our partnership with Sister Fabiola’s Orphanage also remains an important part of our mission as you can see in the picture. Together, we continue to support children and young people by contributing to their well-being and creating opportunities for a brighter future.
On World Health Day, we proudly supported Fathima Hospital’s “Women on Wheels” initiative, encouraging women to lead healthier and more active lives. We also thank the doctors, nurses, and healthcare professionals whose dedication makes such initiatives possible.
World Environment Day reminded us that women play a vital role in protecting our planet. Around the world, women are leading efforts towards climate justice, sustainability, and stronger communities, and we are proud to stand alongside them.
None of these activities would be possible without the support of our volunteers, partners, donors, and friends. Thank you for being part of our journey. Together, we continue to create opportunities, strengthen communities, and improve the lives of women and girls.
